We take a close look at the Dell Inspiron 1318. Dubbed the Dell 1318, buyers are actively seeking the Pacific Blue gem, being touted as "sexy on the outside", by the folks at Dell.com
The 1318 is loaded with great features. Powered by Intel Core2 Duo Processors, this ultraportable laptop can handle heavy processing with ease.
Dell used a magnesium alloy design and barrel hinges for durability and stable display. The Blue candy coated shell, Pacific Blue, according to Dell, is balanced with a glossy finish on the inside.
The 1318 has a 13.3 inch high definition widescreen display, and is powered by the Intel Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100. The glossy widescreen can handle resolutions up to 1280 x 800, for better viewing quality of movies,and videos.
The 1318 comes with an 8x Slot Loading CD/DVD Writer (DVD+/-RW).
The Wireless technology embedded in the Dell 1318, uses Multiple In, Multiple Out,(MIMO) via the Dell Wireless -N technology which "employs multiple integrated Hyperband antennae to handle simultaneous wireless data streams." The 1318 also supports Bluetooth connectivity, via the Dell Wireless 355 Bluetooth Internal mini card(2.0).
