Across the board, many reviewers agreed with our assessment that many of the changes from the old C100 were well needed. A more durable hinge structure is the first sign that Lenovo recognizes the areas that need improvement. The hinges have less play than the former C100 model.
Even though Lenovo reduced the battery size to a 6 cell battery from an 8 cell in the old C100, performance was better over all despite the loss of an hour or so of cordless computing time.
Even with some years, the c200 still managed to perform. The unit we reviewed as mentioned before was a refurbished unit that was in suprisingly great shape. The retailer we obtained the laptop from was very adamant that the quality of the refurbished units in stock were much like the unit we were reviewing.
The typical springy lenovo keyboard was big enough to handle my fat little fingers without too many errors. While a few keys have been removed for space reasons, overall the performance factor was very high.
A nice feature was the ability to turn off the wireless broadcasting by using a switch on the frontside of the laptop, just under the latch of the lid. Unwanted wireless awareness can be easily extinguished with the slide of a switch.
We were most pleased with the accessibility to external devices by the abundance of ports to connect peripherals or external drives. Four total USB ports, Firewire(1394),LAN, Modem and S-Video make the laptop an asset to any work environment. Overall , for a used model we were very pleased, not only with the condition of the laptop we reviewed, but a testament to Lenovo construction for withstanding the test of time.
