Lenovo has struck a deal with AT&T to discount ThinkPad Laptops by $150.00 when a customer agrees to a two-year mobile data plan from the nations largest provider. In hopes of targeting the mobile business set, the upfront discount speaks directly to the companies- bottom line.
Customers are obligated to sign up for the DataConnect service, which on the average, runs $60.00 monthly. Lenovo laptops with a built in Ericsson modem can take advantage of the 500kbps upload and a 1.2Mbps download speeds provided by AT&T.
According to the Lenovo website, all three models of ThinkPad SL Notebooks, and all laptops in Lenovo ThinkPad-s T Series and X Series qualify for the offering.
