The next Generation ThinkPad X series, X301 has gotten upgrades that may not be visible but are readily noticeable.
CPU: Upgraded to the latest Centrino 2 Platform from Intel which boasts a ultra low voltage Core 2 Duo to extend battery life.
Some of the other features that may appeal to the mobile business set, are the fingerprint reader, built in webcam, and noise cancelling microphone. Lenovo has also improved the "native" resolution to make documents, spreadsheets, and videos of course, render more clearly. Many have also praised the full size keyboard.
If you can shell out the $2000 + for the base model, you will definitely be pleased.
