Toshiba announced on October 30,2008 that in conjunction with Panasonic and Sharp, the unified electronics giants will be using the MRM company to provide recycling services on thier behalf. MRM is a leading provider of e-waste recycling management services for manufacturers according to the Toshiba News Website.
MRM is open to support the programs of all manufacturers, and already works
with governments, retailers, non-profits and private waste management companies to
offer consumers convenience, while minimizing the environmental burden associated
with driving long distances to drop off electronic products for recycling.

Environmentally concious manufacturers are a welcome sight and we are proud to make mention of this news. Kudos to Toshiba and others for being concerned and actually doing something about it. Hopefully their cutting costs on these services might help keep prices down..right?
